This is Spring Break, and Zion has had it in his head that the ultimate Spring Break trip would be a visit to...the LEGO store (of course). Dad and Mom weren't so sure. Just going downtown in Chicago and finding a parking place can be stressful, not to mention trying to visit the LEGO store on Michigan Avenue and getting out for under $100.
But...yesterday was rainy and cold, so we decided to give it a try. The first success was finding a a STREET parking space (YAY!) so already we haved saved the $14 for parking.
I had just had to include this one. Here is Mom, looking at the GIRL section just to make the boys angry. They didn't like me even going over to the PINK section of the store. Sigh. I am outnumbered! (I really had fun trying to get them into the Hello Kitty store. Zion literally dragged me out of there!)
So, free parking, and $19 at the LEGO store. If I hadn't stopped at Ann Taylor Loft and bought an Easter dress ($29, people! I couldn't help it!) then we would have really had a bargain day. Still, we came out of it for under $50, which for a day's outing in Chicago with 2 kids is quite a miracle.
